  1. Curzon Street Station in #Birmingham built in 1838 was the FIRST railway terminus in the world. It was built as the terminus of the London to Birmingham Railway. The old Curzon Street Station is to be incorporated into the new #HS2 station which is also to be known as #CurzonStreet. In recent excavations for the new Curzon Street Station a railway turntable from the 1840’s was unearthed, the oldest existing example of a railway turntable in the world.
