Two much maligned figures from English History who were blackguarded by respectively Shakespeare who was flattering the Tudors by describing their arch enemy King Richard III whose bones now rest in Leicester Cathedral after being disinterred from a Leicester car park and then the writers of the History of the Virgin Queen Elizabeth I like Holinshead who flattered her majesty by painting her victim Sir Walter Raleigh from East Devon village Colyton Raleigh as a villain. ….
